There are several things that inspire me in my work. Chain making for one, connects me to processes that have been laid down by craftsmen hundreds of years before me. This connects to old techniques that transcends the distance between then and now. It grounds me to my ancestry. Second, coloured gem stones absolutely excite me because I feel they capture the joy and vibrancy of the world. I love to place gems in the ways that enhance and draw attention to their exquisite beauty.
